We’ve been asked about our age numerous times. But, do you actually know that your body may have a different age? This is called the biological age and these facts about it will really surprise you!
Biological Age vs Chronological Age
There are 2 different ages of our bodies: biological and chronological. The chronological gives the years we’ve been alive and the biological shows how old our bodies look like.
According to scientists, several ways can help you discover the true biological age. The first one includes the proper length of the telomeres of a person’s. These are actually the protective ends of chromosomes and don’t allow the chromosome ends to deteriorate or fuse with some neighboring chromosome. This affects the speed of the death of our cells.
According to Dr. Terry Grossman, a founder of a wellness center in Denver, our chronological age is greater when the length of the telomeres is shorter.
Luckily, we can also discover this in a very simple way at home!
