- A cup of fresh turmeric root
- 1 gallon spring water
- A cup of fresh ginger
- A cup of organic sugar
- ½ a cup kefir grains
Peel and chop the ginger and turmeric, then boil them in water for an hour. Leave the tea to cool down later, then add the kefir grains and the sugar as well. Mix well, transfer the mix in a jar, and keep it in your fridge for up to 5 days.
- ½ teaspoon grated turmeric
- A pinch of black pepper powder
- A bit of lime juice
- 1 cup hot water
Just like with every tea, boil the water, then add the turmeric and simmer for an additional 10 minutes. Add everything else, then leave the tea to cool down and drink it warm.
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla powder
- ¼ cup of water
- A pinch of cinnamon and black pepper powder
- A pinch of clove
- 2 teaspoons honey
- A cup of almond milk
Mix everything in a bigger container, simmer the mix for a while, then drink it when cold.
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- A pinch of salt
- Lemon juice
Just mix everything in a glass and drink the mixture fresh.
This one’s pretty easy – make scrambled eggs then sprinkle a healthy pinch of turmeric on top.
- ½ cup grated turmeric
- 4 cups bone (or vegetable) broth
- Boiled water
Boil the broth and add the turmeric, then simmer for 15 minutes, strain it and enjoy a bowl of hot soup.
Turmeric Plantain Chips
- ½ teaspoon powdered turmeric
- ½ teaspoon powdered ginger
- ½ pound peeled plantain
- ¼ teaspoon ground coriander
- ½ teaspoon Himalayan salt
- 1 tablespoon palm oil
Peel and cut the plantain on thin slices, then put them in a bowl. Cover them all with the palm oil and leave them while mixing everything else in a separate cup. Take a bigger pan and put a baking sheet in it, then cover every slice of plantain in the dry mix nicely. Bake for about 10 minutes per side and enjoy the chips.
Turmeric Tortilla Chips
- 1 cup coconut milk
- ¼ teaspoon powdered turmeric
- ½ cup tapioca flour
- ½ cup almond flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
Mix the flours, salt, turmeric, and coconut milk in a bowl nicely, then spread about ¼ cup of the mix on a pre-heated non-stick pan and bake the mixture until it hardens. Flip the flatbread on the other side and cook it for a bit more. Repeat the same with the whole mix, then cup the batter to make tortillas. Bake them for 12 minutes at 400F, then fill them up with whatever you want, sprinkle some turmeric powder, and enjoy!
