Unhealthy food cravings have appeared in all of us, for sure.
They may be for burgers, chocolate or salty chips, but we know it’s very hard to resist.
This is a bad thing since it doesn’t help us eliminate the initial craving, but it only weakens our immune system and makes us fat.
Food cravings are usually a sign that our body needs some minerals.
People usually report this craving. Chocolate is mostly connected to a lack of magnesium.
Almost 80% of Americans have reported low levels of magnesium. We need it for more than 300 biochemical reactions in our body. It has relaxing properties.
2. Sugary Foods
It’s a very complex craving, because these deficiencies can all cause a sugary foods craving:
- sulfur (removes toxins)
- chromium (helps to regulate blood sugar levels)
- tryptophan (a serotonin regulator)
- phosphorus (helps our body produce energy).
You have to make sure to eat healthy food that will remineralize the complete organism.
3. Refined Carbs
In case you really want to eat carbs, you’re probably deficient in nitrogen.
Include more foods rich in nitrogen like legumes, eggs and potato.
Other Food Cravings
Here are some less common cravings that are very rare, but they can still be encountered.
Oily and fatty foods: You lack calcium. Intake more broccoli and greens.
Ice: You definitely lack iron. Intake more foods rich in iron: molasses, leafy greens, sea vegetables and blackstrap.
Salty foods: You lack silicon or chloride. Intake more seeds, nuts and fish.
